About Vacuum Wise
Vacuum Wise publishes vacuum cleaner reviews written from the manufacturer’s own published specifications and documentation. We do not physically test vacuums, and every review says so.
What this site is
A vacuum listing gives you a suction figure, a run time, a bin or bag capacity, a filter type and a weight, and leaves you to work out whether any of it matters for your floors. The reviews here take one model at a time and read those numbers for what they imply: whether a 40-minute run time survives a whole flat on one charge, whether a 0.3-litre bin means emptying it mid-room, whether a sealed HEPA system is real filtration or a filter in an unsealed body.
The site covers robot, stick & cordless, upright, canister and handheld vacuums. Each review sits in one of those categories, and the categories are what the navigation is built around.
What we do not do
We do not run vacuums over test carpets, weigh what they pick up, measure their noise or time their batteries. No vacuum described here has cleaned a floor for us. A review on this site is a reading of what the manufacturer publishes, written for someone deciding whether that model fits their home, and we would rather say that plainly than imply hands-on experience we do not have.
We do not publish star ratings, review counts, or exact prices. Where a manufacturer has not published a specification, a review says so instead of guessing.
Who writes this
Caleb Turner, Editor, is the byline on every review. Caleb is an editorial name rather than a person you could look up, and we would rather say so than let a fabricated biography do work it has not earned. There are no trade credentials behind it, and there should not be: a site that states on every page that it does not test vacuums has no business presenting an expert as its author.
What stands behind a review is the method, which is written down, and the manufacturer’s published figures, which you can check.
What changed in 2026
This site has always reviewed vacuum cleaners, but a search for “vacuum” also returns vacuum sealers and floor sweepers, and two of those had been reviewed as if they were vacuums. In September 2026 we went through all 124 pages and removed 2 from search — a vacuum sealer and a carpet sweeper — products that share a word with vacuum cleaners and are not them. The 122 pages that remain are vacuums. The removed pages still exist for anyone who arrives at them, but they are no longer what this site is about and we no longer ask search engines to index them.

Corrections
If a specification in a review is wrong — the manufacturer restated it, the listing changed, or we misread it — it is worth more to us to know than to look right. The contact page says what makes a correction actionable.
